Karbonn A8, Karbonn A9 Star going to hit store soon

Two new smartphones from Karbonn viz. Karbonn A8 and A9 Star will add two more choices at your hand if you are looking for a smartphone priced under Rs 6200. Specs are absolutely what you can expect from a phone of this range. Thankfully 3G is there. In last couple of weeks we have seen few budget friendly smartphone powered by MediaTek MT6572 SoC like Micromax A63 Canvas Fun, Spice Stellar Glamour Mi-436, Lava Iris 455, Xolo A500s etc. Specs of Karbonn A8 is no different to the phones mentioned above. It comes with 4 inch TFT LCD display panel. 512 MB RAM4 inch display with WVGA resolution, 5 MP camera.

The SoC used in both these phones are unknown. Possibly it’s MTK6572 but the Cortex A7 CPU cores are clocked at 1.3 GHz in majority of the phones but 1 GHz CPU is creating a log of confusion.

On the other hand Karbonn A9 Star is also powered by a dual core processor, 512 MB RAM. But out of the box Android 4.0 ICS is not at all impressive. It too supports 3G. There is a 5 MP back camera, 4 inch WVGA display panel, 1500 mAh battery, Bluetooth and all other features found in Karbonn A8.
