HOW TO HARD RESET T-MOBILE G2 ANDROID PHONE

Hard reset/factory reset is the total clean-up of personal data and all customized settings from your mobile phone. All the installed applications will be gone except the ones that came with the phone.

Before hard resetting, one need to know what hard resetting is and its consequences if
he or she fails to adhere to precautions, it might be regret at the very end. You need to back-up your data either online or external drive also before hard resetting, remove your SIM and SD card to avoid lost of data that were contained in them. PERFORMING A HARD RESET/FACTORY RESET THROUGH BUTTONS
This method is used when the phone is not powering or settings in the phone could be access.

1. Switch off the phone if the phone is on.
2. Then press and hold the Volume down button, briefly press the Power button.
3. When the android image appears on screen, release the Volume down button.
4. Press down to select clear storage and then press Power button
5. Press Volume up button to start factory reset.   

PERFORMING A HARD RESET/FACTORY REST THROUGH SETTINGS
If you can still gain access to your phone then this method is better for you.

1. Press Home, press Menu, and touch Settings.
2. Scroll down the screen, and then tap privacy > Factory data reset.
3. On the Factory data reset screen, tap Rest phone, and then tap Erase everything.
